Volvo Launches New Trucks With Focus on Drivers to Make Profession More Appealing

The shortage of truck drivers is a growing problem throughout Europe. A study by the IRU (International Road transport Union) shows that the percentage of drivers needed is as high as 15% of the national workforce in some countries. In response to this problem, Volvo Trucks is focusing on making truck driving a more attractive profession by launching a range of new generation of Volvo FH, FH16 and FM trucks. The new range features a better cab environment, new safety technologies to prevent accidents and offers training for drivers, including courses in fuel-efficient driving and safety. Available material includes footage of the 3 new truck models, new safety technology animations and shots of a truck driver at work.
